Steps to Hiring New Student Employees
- Supervisor: Submits a Generate New Hire Request
- Career Hub: Contacts Student regarding New Hire Orientation & Onboarding
- Student: Attends New Hire Orientation, completes i9 verification and completes all required paperwork
- All new hires will complete portions 1 and 2 of the hiring packet
- Individuals hired in specific departments will be required to complete fingerprinting
- Various groups of students may need additional time for documentation due to a variety of reasons - so the timeline above may vary by student needs
- Career Hub: Verifies accuracy of paperwork
- If approved, notifies Human Resources and Payroll for next steps
- If not approved, notifies student a redo of paperwork and/or document verification needs to be completed
- Human Resources: Generates EID from new hire
- Career Hub: Notifies new hire and student of EID with "clearance to begin" email.
