About On Campus Student Employment
On Campus Student Employment is a great way for students to have income while attending classes. On Campus jobs are a great option for those who are looking for extra income, or who are looking to secure their first job and gain experience in the work world.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be hired for Student Employment jobs, students must meet the requirements below. Students also must have an eligibility application on file.
- Standard Students
Standard students must be enrolled in the minimum amount of units as follows:
Spring/Fall Semesters: 6.00 or more units.
Summer Semester: 3.00 or more units.
- International Students
International students must be enrolled in the minimum amount of units as follows:
Spring/Fall Semesters: 12.00 or more units.
Summer Semester: 3.00 or more units.
- Students Receiving DRD Services
Students receiving Disability Resource Department services may be eligible to work with a reduced course load. To learn more about this, contact Career Hub staff.
- Federal Work Study (FWS)
Students who have applied for Financial Aid may have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS). Students with FWS are able to apply for FWS-Only jobs.
Looking & Applying for Jobs On Campus
SRJC uses a platform, Handshake, that allows employers to post jobs specifically for SRJC students. All SRJC students automatically have a Handshake account. To access this account you must first log into Handshake via the website or mobile app.
You must complete your basic profile before you are able to apply to any positions.
